Unveiled and dedicated on 9 October 1921, originally located on The Square and listing 106 names of men who died during the Great War. The 107th name, that of H Allen, was added when the memorial was moved to the Memorial Gardens after the 2nd World War.

The dedication inscribed on the memorial reads : "To its honoured Raunds dead : 1914 - 1919. They were a wall unto us both by day and by night."

The listing is in strict alphabetical order with no additional information such as forename, year of death, rank or regiment.

The memorial, with the names of 29 World War 2 casualties added, was relocated to the present site in the Memorial Gardens in June 1950.
